Mau'i Day Six

Day Six found us at the Grand Wailea on Mau'i. We decided to take it easy this day, hanging around our ultra-cool hotel and then cruising over to Lahaina for lunch and to take in the shops.

This is the Banyan Tree, in Banyan Park in Lahaina. This is all one tree.

Its limbs have grown so heavy that they have grown down to the ground and taken root themselves in places. In other spots, man has helped the Banyan Tree out by putting in posts that help support the outer limbs.

Yes, that's still our hotel wrapping around on the left-hand side of the photo. And this is just one side of the entire resort...

Moon over Wailea.

A cool night shot I was able to take from our balcony.

You can go back to Day Five.

You can on to Day Seven.
